Teresa (Kauffman) Becker
Teresa Carol (Kauffman) Becker passed away in Sacramento, California, on November 29, 2024, after a lengthy illness. She was 79 years old. Known by friends and family as Terry, she was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, on March 21, 1945, and grew up in Lodi, California. In October 1962, she married Don Becker, who was in the Army. They divorced after 20 years, but remained lifelong friends. During the early years of their marriage Don was stationed in Germany several times, and Terry enjoyed traveling in Europe. Terry worked for Sierra AirGas in Sacramento and later retired from a Health Care Insurance Company there.
She had a wicked sense of humor, always quick with an unexpected response. She came from a musical family and taught herself to play the organ and accordion. As children, she and her two sisters Kay and Bonnie, sang harmony together. In later years the three sisters enjoying having regular "sister days."
Terry loved to read, listen to music, and enjoy quiet times in her home.
Terry is survived by two sisters, Kay (Roland) Hickingbottom of Galt, California, and Bonnie (Scott) Williamson of Elk Grove, as well as six nieces and nephews. Her parents, Fred and Dorothy Kauffman and Don Becker preceded her in death. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
