Tony Rey Mitchell Rosario

It is with great sadness the family of Tony Rey Mitchell Rosario announce his unexpected passing from this earth, but with great joy and hope entering his Heavenly home with the Lord Jesus Christ. Tony was born on December 13, 1965 in Oakland, California. He graduated from Chatham High School in 1985 and immediately enlisted in the United States Navy. Due to an injury incurred in basic training he couldn't continue his dream of following in the footsteps of the man who raised him, his step-father Fred Mitchell. God has plans for all his children and his plans for Tony was to lovingly serve his customers at CVS Chatham for over 30 years and Dollar General the past few years. Where his customers grew to know him as everyone who met him knew him... a kind, gentle, soft-spoken person who gave generously to various charities and those he loved...had a wonderful sense of humor, loved spending time with his family, listening to music and watching all sports especially the Dallas Cowboys. He was brought up in the Christian faith and loved all people with no judgment or prejudice...just an all around sweet person to everyone he came in contact with. He will be sorely missed by his many family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father Dionisio Rosario and mother Elaine H. Mitchell. Surviving members of his extended family include step-father Fred Mitchell, Jr.; Sisters: Chris Encarnacion, Alexa Lucas (Chris), Cisy Rosario, Terry Rosario, Brothers: Jerry Encarnacion (Mary), Joe Rosario(Chrissy), Dee Rosario(Robyn), Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins to include Jacob Encarnacion (Alayah), Josh Encarnacion, Brandon Azinger, Matt Clark, Martha and Phil Napier Denise, Starlette, April, Tony, Debbie and Mitch Fowlkes,Olivia Horner (Ben); Danielle Rosario; Great Niece: Asuka; Linda Montecillo & Family. A special thank you to co-worker Andi Burnette and five extraordinary managers that Tony cared and loved very much...he was never late and didn't use sick leave because you took care of him so well and his career wouldn't have been the same without you there...Carrie Hall, Dee Deaton, Steve Younger and Cory Burke of CVS and Bonnie Adkins of Dollar General. He always said wonderful things about you all and just adored you to no end. May the strength and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
