Wade Ashley Walker
Wade Ashley Walker, 55, went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 9, 2017. Wade was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on September 25, 1962 and was a 1981 graduate of Calallen High School, where he met his beloved wife, Patty. They began dating during their freshman year at Southwest Texas State University and quickly realized they were meant to be. During their 34 years of marriage they brought three beautiful children into the world and built their businesses; Corpus Christi Auto Auction, San Antonio Auto Auction, and most recently Firefly Farm. All of which he built on the rock-solid foundation of Christ and are still family owned and operated to this day.
Wade was a devoted loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to all. He enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing, cycling, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Wade was always there to lend a helping hand in need and was described as a gentle, compassionate, wise, loving man of God. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Wade is preceded in Heaven by his maternal grandparents, Merle Hearn Johnson and Don C. Johnson; his paternal grandparents, Beatrice Bell Walker and Ralph “Red” Walker; and Father in Law, Raymond Earl Rabalais. Wade is survived by his loving wife, Patty Walker of New Braunfels; his children Ashley (Weldon) Dietze of New Braunfels, Raymond “Ace” (Nicole) Walker of New Braunfels, and Payton (Dylan) Skogman of Wimberley; His grandchildren Weldon “Walker” Dietze, Waylon Rabalais Dietze, Westin Wade Walker, Summer Lynn Walker and another little guy on the way, Baby Skogman. He also leaves behind to cherish his memories his parents, Ace and Judy Walker of Corpus Christi; his brothers Lance (Elva) Walker of Corpus Christi, and Rhett (Jana) Walker of Corpus Christi; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Serving as pall bearers are Randy Harwell, Troy Herring, Chris Jaynes, Jason Jones, Gary Martin and Doug Rabalais.
Wades celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 16th at Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels Texas. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home where there will be a visitation with family on Friday, December 15th from 6 to 8 PM. Private family Burial will follow a reception.
