John Clark Morss
John Clark Morss of Colorado Spings, Colorado, passed away February 26th, 2023, in Edinburg, Texas, at the age of 66. John was born July 12th, 2956, in Wurzburg, Germany to Clyde Morss and Nina Morss. Clyde, Nina, and older sister, Donna, were very proud of the trophy they brought home from Germany. John grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and graduated from Harrison High School. At the age of 19 he joined the United States Marine Corps and served for four years, receiving an honorary discharge and earning the rank of Lance Corporal. While in the service he received the Rifle Expert Badge and Meritorious Mast. In 1988 he met his wife Donna Gray. He worked as an arborist, and over time he and his wife started their own business, Aaires Tree Serbvice, which was his trade until retirment. John enjoyed archery, shooting pool, fishing, hunting, riding mules, water skiiing, 4-wheeling, and the outdoors. John and Donna experienced manuy adventures together across the United States including the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Disneyworld, Sea World, World Equestrian Games, and all of the Great Lakes. They also took trips to Costa Rica, the Caribbeans, and Mexico. They enjoyed lake trips with family and friends, 4-wheeling in the mountains, and fishing trips. John was an excellent bowler (300 ring) and pool player (good defense). He was a member of the Fountain Fort Carson Riding & Roping Club,Pikes Peak Long Ears, Wagon Masters, Colorado Driving Society, Fountain Valley Bowling League, and The Elks Club. He was known as a great friend, husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Scott and Brian; grandchildren, Brandon, Kianna, Joel, Karli, Kyndel, Kipton, and Kellen; great grandchildren, Qiedyn and Qaydence; his mother, Nina Morss; his sister Donna Pelton; his brothers, Alan Morss and Lee Morss; many nieces and nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Morss.
