Richard Eugene Carli
Our beloved father and husband, Richard Eugene Carli, passed away peacefully in his home on March 22nd, 2024, at the age of 77.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy, son, Thomas (Marie), and his daughters Samantha (Kellen) Robertson and Jillian (Francisco) Magana, his granddaughter, Sofia, his grandson, James, his brother Tom (Jan) Carli, Jr. and his sister Diane Gibson.
He was born in Jamestown, North Dakota on March 13th, 1947. After serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War, he returned home to California and eventually started working at the local cannery, Pacific Coast Producers. During his long career as a mechanic at the cannery, he met the love of his life, Wendy, with whom he celebrate 40 years of marriage.
After his retirement in 2015, Rick enjoyed spending his days doing carpentry projects around the house, baking bread, watching sports, and most of all spending time with his family, especially his new granddaughter. Rick was immeasurably kind and was filled with gratitude.
His life was overflowing with humor, and even in tough times, he found the richness and joy of life. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ann Maier and Tom Carli.
The family will not be holding a public funeral service. A celebration of his life will be held privately.
