Full-Time RVing through the USA and Canada since 2001...
We headed north way too early in the year to take the RV back to the factory in Iowa to have work done on the coach, but we missed bad weather altogether. We did get off to a rocky start with a breakdown on the Kansas Turnpike - the alternator froze and chewed up a belt. Thanks to technology, we were able to get it repaired quickly and be on our way. Did I mention that we also picked up a nasty bug that did not want to share with Jim and Vicki. Another problem with the car almost sidelined us again. After completing the repair work in Forest City, we headed back to see Jim and Vicki and had some quality time together. Then we headed to Frieghtliner in Gaffney, South Carolina for service, then on to Thomasville, Georgia, for the MILWIT Eastern rally. from there we settled in Mayport, Florida, for two months where Terry had vestibular rehabilitation for her balance problems. Then we headed down through Florida to visit friends, on up through Georgia for a wedding, back down through Alabama and to the Florida Panhandle where we enjoyed the sunshine - and more rain. When Hurricane Isaac churned up in the Gulf, we started heading west and it chased us all the way to Texas. After spending some time at Lake Pointe, our home park, we stopped in Beeville to visit friends in town and spent time at another friend's ranch. Then we made it back to Corpus Christi, where we have been busy as ever.
