We started out the New Year with no
definite plans in sight. Gerry had rotator cuff surgery in February
and we hung around Corpus Christi till June so he could mend.
When we left Corpus Christi, we headed north, played a little golf
along the way, and attended the MILWIT Central Rally in Hutchinson,
Kansas. Then we meandered up to Forest City, Iowa, for both
the MILWIT and Grand National Rallies. That put us close to
Vicki and Jim's where we got a first-hand update on their visit to
Turkey, and some quality time together. Next we stopped near
St. Louis for some Clydesdale time before heading into Ohio where we
visited Terry's sister in Columbus, and visited Malta/McConnelsville
and friends in Mansfield. From there we made a quick trip to
Gaffney, South Carolina, to have the RV serviced, then back to
Tennessee to visit more friends. From there it was just about a
two-hour drive down to Decatur (near Huntsville), Alabama, and then a
long drive down to the Gulf Coast, through Mississippi,
Louisiana, and into Texas and home. |
