Jacksonville, Florida

We were able to get a beautiful spot in the RV Park at Jacksonville Naval Air Station.  We hoped to see several people while we were in the area, but ended up getting to see only one.  It was such a treat to see Karen again after quite a few years.  She's now the mother of a 5-year old and a 2-year old and is expecting her third.  When we were stationed in Corpus Christi the first time back in the 70's, Karen was just 8 years old and rode in horse shows.  Gerry worked with her in training for barrel racing and pole bending. 

There is a beautiful golf course on base as well, and Gerry spent a little time there.   We got to know Mike and Willemina, neighbors in the park and Gerry and Mike played golf and Willemina and I discovered we were both scrapbookers.

We also made it downtown for a nice lunch at Jackson Landing.
