After 3 months in The Valley, we headed to Corpus for scheduled doctor appointments, where we stayed in the campground on base after COVID-19 arrived. Unfortunately, just a few days later, Terry fell in the Navy Exchange and broke her wrist badly enough that it required surgery to put in a plate. Consequently, most of our trips outside the RV were related to that medical issue. There was a bit of excitement when an intruder (later identified as a terrorist) shot a gate guard who was wearing a protective vest. She hit the button to bring up the vehicle barrier to stop him. The base was on lockdown all morning.
