Corpus Christi, Texas
We stopped in Corpus Christi on our way back from the Valley! We happened to be on the beach at Padre Island just before the parade for Barefoot Mardi Gras 2015 started on Valentine's Day. After the parade, we drove up to Port Aransas to our favorite seafood restaurant, Virginia's On The Bay. That evening we ate at The Island Italian, another favorite of ours. Ruben Limas was the entertainer. He has been singing there and at other spots around Corpus for many years. The last time we saw him, his son Dylan was just a toddler - now he's teenager and even sang with his Dad. The place was really crowded, so we shared our table of 4 with another couple, Dean and Isabel, and made new friends. It was a wonderful day in Corpus Christi.
