Lodi, California

This visit we opted to stay at a campground just a few miles out of Lodi.  There are two Coast to Coast parks out about 15 miles where we have stayed in the past - one week at each.  But this time we wanted to be closer so folks could come out and visit us as well.  We took the opportunity to revisit familiar places around town.  Lodi has grown, but is still as clean and inviting as ever.  Our focus was spending time with family.  Gerry has two brothers and two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews in the area.  Somehow we never quite manage to see them all.  But this time we did quite well.  Terry took time out to scrapbook a bit with Sandy and also arranged a luncheon of a couple of old school chums that just happened to include Jean, Gerry's niece and a classmate of Terry's.  Brother Don's daughter Kathy was in town, so we finally got to meet her husband David.  Terry actually cooked and had several groups of family out to visit us.  This was also a big birthday month.  Sister Colleen celebrated one and Terry did, too.  So there were lots of opportunities to get together.  Terry and Bonnie joined Gary, Sandy, and Richard for a last birthday celebration the night before we left.  But, as always, it was hard to say goodbye.
