Periodically we need a little time for just the two of us. What a great place to spend a few days playing tourist. We just happened to meet Bill, part owner of the Firehouse Restaurant and Lounge in Florence, in Coburg where we had the RV serviced. He gave us some great tips about the area, as did Dennis & Kathy. We stayed in the Port of Siuslaw right near the water where we could walk into the old part of town where there are lots of quaint shops. The food at the Firehouse was wonderful, so we went back more than once! We explored the coast, spending one afternoon watching the ATVs on the dunes and another driving up the coast as far as Newport and another driving down the coast as far as Reedsport. It is a beautiful area, and the coastline is magnificent.
