Our arrival in Corpus Christi
was a bit later than usual this year. The weather did not
cooperate very well either. The ground at the property where we
stay was soaked so much we did not dare back into our usual spot.
Instead we parked on the gravel in front of the house for almost a week.
It was good to see all the horses and meet the new peacocks, but the
best part was that Vicki came to visit for a long weekend. It had
been more than ten years since she had been to Corpus Christi. We
put a lot of activities into a very short span of time. Vicki
played golf with us; only her second time ever. Terry and Vicki
had a great time playing "best ball" instead of keeping score.
Gerry just enjoyed spending time with his two favorite girls!
After Vicki left we spent a weekend with David and the boys at their
hunting ranch, went to Michael Martin Murphey's Cowboy Christmas Concert
at the Performing Arts Center at Texas A&M. We also rode up to
Schulenberg with David when he delivered Andy.
