For years we have talked about renting a
houseboat at Lake Powell with friends. We spent two days at Page
and had an opportunity to finally check out the area. There is
quite a story behind the Carl Hayden Dam that created Lake Powell, and
there is no shortage of houseboats to rent. We settled for a tour
boat into some of the canyons. Some of the rock walls looks as
though they are painted or made of tapestry. Incredible scenery!
