We were probably two or three weeks too early
to see the brilliant fall foliage along Skyline Drive, but went anyway.
We drove about 50 miles north on the parkway - free entrance with our
Golden Age Pass ($15 otherwise). There are lots of turnouts to
view the mountains and valleys. The speed limit is 35 miles per
hour, and that makes for a leisurely drive.
