Mansfield is just up the road from Columbus,
so we drove up to see Bob and Jackie. Bob is a published author,
and his latest book on the history of Lexington has become a local
best-seller. We took one day and drove the car up to Akron to do a
little research at the library. Bob arranged for us to visit the
Kister Mill, where we met Cindy. She and her husband are restoring
the old mill. The waterwheel provides power for a multitude of
belts that run different kinds of equipment. Cindy makes wooden
bowls and her husband makes table tops using the equipment.
Periodically, they hold an open house for the public and various groups.
For them it is a labor of love.
