Bowling Green,  Virginia

Usually we stay on base at Quantico when we get this close to D.C.  But they are full up until after the Marine Crops Marathon.  Fort A.P. Hill is a bit far south, but worked as a place for a little down time for us.  There is not much in the way of support facilities, but the campground is quite nice.  We checked out nearby Bowling Green, went to the Farmer's Market, looked through a few antique stores and went to an afternoon play at the Caroline Community Theatre.  Leading Ladies was a hilarious comedy about two would-be actors who impersonate two nieces of a sick old lady in order to get the inheritance.  One of them is 6 foot 5, and that made it even funnier.  We also played a little golf.
