Whenever we came through this way, we spent some
time with an old Navy friend, David Garcia. In poor health for
years, Dave was active with the VFW and the Fleet Reserve and was a
counselor for the VA. We were saddened to hear that he died this
last June. Another cousin now lives in the area. She was in
Missouri when we went through there on our first trip in the Bounder
taking care of her mother. It was great connecting with her again.
The weather dipped below freezing and we choose not to stick around
beyond one night.
