We could not leave Iowa without doing a little
genealogy research on Gerry's side of the family. Our first stop was
to see Gerrie in Fayette. For many years she and her husband, Dale,
who passed away a year ago, hosted a family reunion and Gerry's aunts and
uncles on his father's side attended. Gerrie still has her genealogy
material and we copied a few things that we missed last time.
Unfortunately, we did not get to see the 92-year old cousin who lives in
the same area where Gerry's mother was born. She was visiting her
daughter in Cedar Rapids and we did speak with her by phone.
