We managed to avoid the hurricane-ravished
states for at least two years. We skirted north of the New Orleans
area, so did not see any of it, but the devastation in Biloxi was just
incredible. Most of the beautiful old homes along Highway 90
are completely gone. A number of the casinos have rebuilt, but those
old homes are gone forever. Unless a sign remains behind, it is hard
to tell what stood where.
