Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

July 2005

We found a very nice campground in Saskatoon where we could catch up with our mundane activities (like laundry).  James is the grandson of Maurice, who we will meet in Swan River, Manitoba on our next stop.  James is a computer whiz, so we had lots to talk about.  He is also very interested in his family history now that he has a family.  Brooklyn is a little sweetheart and made herself right at home in the RV.  What a treat to have a little one around for even a little while.

We visited the Berry Farm, a nice place to have lunch.

A visit to the Public Library to do a little genealogy research was wonderfully successful.  In our travels we copied an obituary of Joseph Napoleon Roberge, a brother to Terry's Grandfather, Avilor.  He was buried in Vonda, Saskatchewan, not far from Saskatoon.  We found a four-page article about his family written by a daughter, that helped us identify the people in a photo we have.
