Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

The nation's capital is an impressive city, especially so on Parliament Hill.  The Cathedral Basilica of Notre Dame was awesome, more so because we were able to attend Mass there.

The highlight of our stay in Ottawa was the 60th Anniversary of Victory in the Far East National War Memorial Ceremony attended by the Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, Adrienne Clarkson - as well as the war veterans that we met in Thunder Bay.  When it comes to pageantry, the British definitely shine.

An evening at the harness racing track was a fun diversion.  We also visited the Canadian Air Museum, the Canadian War Museum and just happened upon a parade for a Trinidad festival downtown.  And Terry even had some success in finding material at the National Archives relating our families' genealogy.
