The desert is
in full bloom around Yuma because of all the rain. What we found so
astonishing was the wonderful perfume of the flowers that permeates the air.
We had our very own RV spot waiting for us there at Terry's cousin Ralph's
place. On our last visit to the Seattle area in 2002, we spent
an afternoon with Ralph & June - the first time Terry had seen them since she
was a girl. Ralph's brother Phil and his wife Sharon also winter in Yuma,
so we got to see them as well. We played Mexican Train Dominos and enjoyed
quite a few meals together, so we really got to know them all this time.
We had a ball!

Also living in Yuma is Vicki's best
friend from our first tour in Corpus Christi when they were in junior
high school together. Jennifer was Vicki's constant companion
and went every where with us, including camping trips to Lake Corpus
Christi where the kids all water skied together. Now
married to a Naval Officer, she is the mother of 4 boys ranging in age
from 6 to 16.
