Victoria, B.C. Canada

May 2005

Terry has always been interested in her family's genealogy - both sets of grandparents are of French-Canadian descent.  Doing research in Quebec City was a highlight of our 2003 East Coast trip.  Since then she has been in contact with a number of cousins in Canada.  One of her mother's first cousins lives in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island and several of this cousin's nephews live in the Duncan area of Vancouver Island.  Winston (his grandfather and Terry's were brothers) invited us for a visit.  On Memorial Day weekend we took our car on the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria, leaving the RV at brother Tim's.

Since we were not expected in Duncan till late afternoon, we checked out a little bit of Victoria.  On our return trip back to Port Angeles, we visited Parliament House, the Royal B.C. Museum, took a carriage tour, and Gerry went through the wax museum.
