One of the highlights of our visit in Santa Clarita was Terry's opportunity to help out in Jeremy's Kindergarten class while Mike was out of town. She got to handle one of four stations each time. The first time she helped the kids with a craft project and the next time she helped them learn some things about water. Lisa's parents, Chris & Barbara (also known as Nonny & Pop Pop) arrived to relieve us till Mike returned.
Our friend Kathy lives an hour from Mike's in Pasadena. We drove over in the Saturn and stayed the night and enjoyed dinner with her son Tony and his family before seeing the play, Moon Over Buffalo, at the Sierra Madre Theatre. The next morning we went to the horse races at Santa Anita - where none of us lost too much!!
Leave it to Gerry to spot anything in the area where there are horses involved. The California Desperados Mounted Shooters were having a match not far from where we parked the RV. They run a specific pattern with a number of balloons to shoot and are timed. It was quite impressive to watch them. Return to Page 1 |
