Phoenix, Arizona

We actually stayed at an RV resort in Mesa, a suburb of Phoenix.  Now we know why so many folks spend their winters in Arizona.  The RV resort we stayed at had it all:  heated swimming pool, hot tub, workout room, library, computer room, card room, huge activity room, restaurant on site and more activities than one person could possibly do - including golf practically every day of the week.  There were also dances and bingo and entertainment. 

Two of Terry's cousins winter in the area.  Betty Ann & Jim (we had a short visit with them in Minnesota last summer)stay in Sun City, about an hour from where we were.  Joan & Harlan have a park model in a similar resort near where we stayed in Mesa and we got together with them a couple of times.  Peg, a former Navy colleague of Gerry's, just relocated to Phoenix from the Seattle area with her husband Brian and son Dan.  Dan was off skiing, so we didn't get to meet him.
