The last time we drove up the West Coast, we met Terry's friend Joanne in Eugene where she works.  This time we found a campground near Elkton, right on the Umpqua River.  Joanne still works way too many hours, but she squeezed in a little time on Sunday morning BEFORE she went to work.  It is hard to believe It has been thirty years since we first met!

We assume that Elkton got its name from the residents of the area.  Not far is a wonderful elk viewing area with plenty of parking for cars and even big rigs like ours.
