Some time ago, I got wind of a distant relative, Warren Kramer, who was about to publish a genealogy of his family. Ancestors and Descendants of Isaac Pouliot & Philomene Dupont and Romain Pouliot and Eugenie Hamel.  His great-grandmother (Philomene Dupont) was a sister to my grandmother (Eleanor Dupont).  So, while the descendants did not show our branch of the family, the ancestors were the same.  I ordered a copy of the book,  and enjoyed learning about my grandmother's history.

When we realized just how close we were to where he lived, we gave him a call and arranged to stop in to meet him.   Warren is my second cousin, once removed.  Although he didn't publish descendant information on our branch, he had quite a bit and he was nice enough to print out what he thought I'd be interested in.  Instead of letting us take them out for lunch, Sherrie graciously fixed us lunch at their home.
